Thanks, Liz! Son of the Mob is really popular. I haven’t read Dark Angel, and I must admit that I haven’t read a lot of the manga. I just can’t follow them! But they sure are popular! Maybe some of you who are reading this post can list some of their favorite manga! Oh, I’ll let you know that there are some new fantasy in the new book shipment! Say hi to Ed!

I have to say that one of my favorite books so far was Odd Thomas. It was a book filled
with a lot of surprises in every chapter. Also, if you do not seem to be able to find a
good book then just ask Mrs. Carpinelli for some help. She has gotten very good at giving
me books that she knows I will really like.I have to say that my favorite genre of books
so far are ones filled with suspense. The library has tons of these so go to the library
and pick up a good book today.

Thanks for the kind words, Justin! I LOVE recommending books to students, and Odd Thomas is my favorite fiction book here in our library! Glad you are finding “good stuff” to read!

That is a tough question Mrs. Carp! I think (although I’m not so sure, there are so many) that my favorite book from LCMR’s
Media Center is Fire Bringer. It is the fantasy story of a young deer who fulfills an ancient deer prophecy and has to protect
all the deer in his area. I give it 5 thumbs up (if I had five thumbs that is). I recomend it to all fantasy or nature lovers,
or those who like a rich plot with touching and visual characters. Its not a very popular book, when I had it, there were only
a few due dates on its card. So please, give this awesome book a great temporary home by reading it!

I’m glad you enjoyed Fire Bringer, Dani. Actually, it may have been checked out more often, because we switch the cards every time a book comes in! You’ll also be excited to know that we have a new book by David Clement Davies called “The Telling Pool.” It should be ready to check out by the end of today!

I think my favorite book that I read form here would have to be The Silver Kiss. It’s a great novel about vampires and ones inner fears and thoughts. If people haven’t read it, they should.

Ummm let me think, my favorite book from our lcmr library. Well I guess it would have to be any of these…The Raging Quiet, Fire Bringer, Any Merlin Series(Seeing Stone, Lost Years ect.) I guess that would cover the books from our library. I love to read though, so READ!!!

My favorite book from this library I actually got at the book sale, The Historian
by Elizabeth Kostova. It is a story that follows the trials and discovries of three generations
as they follow the trails of Dracula using historical methods. Not what I expected,
but what a delight!

Hey Mrs. Carp!
I haven’t commented in a while and i wanted to let you know
that the book Inexcusable is a really good book. I just finished reading it. This book was about a man who used to rape women from his point of view and in his eyes he isnt doing anything wrong. I know it sounds crazy but the story line is really good. i think this is a very adult book and anyone who is mature should read it. !

Well I WOULD have said my favorite book was Odd Thomas but JUSTIN took it already! *growl* Anywhoo, my next favorite is probably Anthem, even though it was required reading, I still really liked it. It’s by Ayn Rand by the way,

I haven’t actually read a lot of books directly from our media center. Aside from the manga that is. I actually really like to read all the magazines that line the shelves. Also, the Trilogy His Dark Materials was really good too, by Phillip…something. Look in the fantasy section (I wish we had Mercedes Lackey).
